Librarian Survival 101

First Session: Weeding

Please share with new librarians and ed techs! Experienced librarians also welcome.

Join us for the first webinar in a four-part series, beginning on October 26 at 4 pm. In response to the growing demand for professional development for Library Educational Technicians and Librarians new to the job, the Maine Association of School Libraries (MASL) will hold four-hour-long professional development workshops related to the services of school libraries. These will also serve as refresher courses for experienced librarians. The topics to be covered will be weeding, inclusive lending policies, best practices for read-alouds (K-5) and YA readers advisory, and assistance with the Digital Maine Library. This is free for members or pay $25 for all 4 sessions and your new membership, good through August 31, 2022, will be included.

These webinars will be recorded and stored in the members only section of our website for you to view. Portions of the recording may be blank if we use breakout rooms for short discussions.
