Kelly Paul Briggs

Kelly Paul Briggs was born in Rockland, Maine in 1958. She grew up in Maine and enjoyed many island picnics. Today she lives in Camden, Maine with her husband, two sons and her Greyhound dog named Ready. She likes Oreo cookie ice cream and popcorn.

Kelly Paul Briggs is the author of Island Alphabet. This book is an alphabet book of Maine islands. She is the illustrator of her book. She spent many hours working on each picture. She used a radiograph pen for her drawings. It took her 500 hours to draw the first 26 pages. She set up her drawing table in the dining room.
