Point of Land in Miss Rumphius We didn't have a telescopic lens but it you look at the point to the left, there is a house with a flag pole just like the one in the picture of "Miss Rumphius, her pockets full of seeds, wandered over fields and headlands, sowing lupines."
In that same picture, notice the church in the lower left. Here's the real one.
And here is the line of brick buildings as they look now-a-days.
When we went to Round Pond, we saw many houses that looked like the ones in her book.
