Child Labor is Not Cheap:

Role-Play Scoring Worksheet

Child Labor is Not Cheap is rich with assessment opportunities. Saturation assessment is distracting, time-consuming, and counterproductive, however. Educators need to measure only priority results. The assessment excerpt reproduced here reflects selected priorities in Lesson 2 of the unit.

Assessments for lesson 1 could measure Civics and Government Performance Indicators C. 4 and C. 6. Lessons 1 and 3 lend themselves to assessing the research process D. 6, H.4, 7, 8.
