The MASL/MLA Silent Auction is calling for donations of items either new or in good used condition to be auctioned off at the Maine Libraries Conference in the Fall.  The two organizations depend on this annual auction to raise funds for their scholarship programs, as the raffles of years past are no longer offered.  Here is an opportunity for everyone to assist in educating Maine Librarians for the challenges that lie ahead in our profession/

    It's winter in Maine, folks, We're all battened down with the wood stoves roaring -- here's a stellar opportunity to brush off skills forsaken during sunnier months and make something for the auction.   As you sit in your living rooms and watch the snow gently fall (or clutch your skis and grumble because it's NOT falling) think of the auction to come and how you can contribute.
