1 Award: Library Media Service Award for Administrators plaque, $500 donation to the recipients' school district library media program, made in the name of the recipient.

2.  Awarded at the annual conference of the recipient's state professional organization.

3.  Nomination must be made by a current MASL member

4.  Deadline for the nominations: September 15, 2008

5.  The winner will be selected by the MASL Executive Board.  The award will be made by MASL's President at the annual conference of the recipient's state professional organization.  A subsequent presentation will be made by the MASL President in the winner's community.

6.  Any school administrator currently employed in the state of Maine is eligible for nomination for this award.  The award is intended to honor administrators who, through individual leadership and sustained effort, have made worthy contributions to the operations of effective school library media services within the educational program.  The award is also intended to recognize the responsible and influential role of the school administrator in developing successful school library media programs, and to stimulate planning, implementing and support of school library media services.
