Geraldine Massey
2004 Library Media Service Award for Administrator

The Library Media Service Award is given annually by The Maine Association of School Libraries (MASL) to a school administrator currently employed in the state of Maine. The award honors an administrator who through individual leadership and sustained effort has made worthy contributions to the operation of effective school media services.

Geraldine Massey, Principal of Cony High School in Augusta, Maine was nominated by Cony's Library Media Specialist Jeff Small,and was selected to receive the 2004 award by the Executive Board of the Maine Association of School Libraries.

Massey was recognized at the Maine Libraries Conference in Augusta for the responsible and influential role she has played in the development of the successful school library media program at Cony. She was further honored at the Maine Principals? Association Fall Conference where she was presented with the Library Media Service Award Plaque by Nancy Grant, Chair of the MASL Awards Committee. MASL will also donate $250 to Massey's School District Library Media Program in her name.
