1. Please provide evidence that the Library Media
Specialist (LMS), in collaboration with other district staff and with the use
of current technologies, regularly instructs and assesses learners in the
information literacy process, the reading process, and the ethical and
appropriate use of information.
2. Show evidence of the LMS meeting the needs of the
greater school community for access to an organized collection of relevant
information in a variety of formats.
3. Please provide evidence of the local library media
program growth which was influenced by the nominee, e.g. budget, personnel,
facilities, collaborative collection development, curriculum integration of Informatino Literacy process, promotion of reading
pleasure.
4. Please describe successful approaches which the
nominee has initiated to solve problems e.g. overcoming lack of space,
combating student or staff indifference to the library media program,
creatively handling financial needs, encouraging independent learning, or
dealing with local, state and federal issues affecting the library media
program.
